Winterburn who played over 400 hundred games for Arsenal and won the Premiership and FA Cup double in Arsene Wenger’s first full year in England has backed this Gunners' side to deliver, but has emphasised on the need to stay focussed.

He’s probably getting bored with the comparison with Patrick Vieira. When asked however, Abou Diaby smiles and without giving the impression of here we go again, politely trots out the line where he acknowledges that despite the physical resemblance, his game is more attack based than the former Gunners’ Premiership title winner. That much was in evidence in last Saturday’s demolition of Hull at The Emirates Stadium, a game in which an injury depleted Arsenal side overcame a physically robust Tigers, who had even had the luxury of a twelve game break from their previous fixture.

Cesc Fabregas has urged Arsene Wenger to buy a striker in the January transfer window. With Robin Van Persie not due to return from his ankle injury until April at least, and with the rest of the Gunners' strike force Theo Walcott, Eduardo and Nicklas Bendtner all at differing stages of returning from a worrying various degrees of injury, Fabregas has accepted that there is a despite need to shore up the fire-power.

The only remaining member of the great 2004 Invincibles team says that he’d rather win another Premiership title than win a first ever Champions League crown for Arsenal. Gael Clichy was in the side that saw great success as English champions alongside Thierry Henry and co, and after the latest win at Craven Cottage on Saturday, the left back insists that this young Gunners side is capable lifting a fourth Premier League title.
