For the second consecutive Saturday, Theo Walcott scored, and his ,and Arsenal's opener at Blackburn, takes the Gunners striker to four Premiership goals in three games. That total is more than Walcott's tally for the whole of last season, and Arsene Wenger's assertion that his number 14 is benefiting from not going to the World Cup is proving to be right.

Arsene Wenger saw Arsenal come through a tough test of their character at Ewood Park, and after goals from Theo Walcott and Andrey Arshavin gave the Gunners the 2-1 win -  their first away win of the season  and their first away win since March - the Arsenal manager heaped praise on his players tough mental and physical state of mind.
